Vintage Art Nouveau Greyhound Pin
Here is a vintage celluloid pin in the shape of a gorgeous
greyhound. The style is art nouveau - which actually preceeded art
deco.
This dog is well proportioned and detailed. Around the neck is a raised
relief beadwork collar. Each tiny bead is meticulously presented.
Suspended from the neck is a small bauble of your choice. Measurements
are: 2.4" L x 2.25" H.This particular casting took place circa 1920. This is NOT a reproduction but a vintage component with an added modern day pin with safety clasp attached to the back. Celluloid was an early form of plastic that came before bakelite. It is absolutely lovely!
There is a choice of four colors in radiant metallic beads: evening amethyst, magenta topaz, shimmering emerald, and sparkling bright ruby.
